The surroundings

Unique art cities found nowhere else in the world (the ancient Roman city of Aquileia, the fortress city of Palmanova, the Lombard town of Cividale), an Adriatic coastline like only Grado (sandy) and Sistiana (rocky) can offer, natural reserves and unexpected places. This is Friuli Venezia Giulia: one million residents, eight million tourist visits every year. And at the strategic heart of Friuli, you’ll find Agriturismo Villa Trovatore.

Villa Trovatore was completely restored in 2012 with the addition of new guest rooms, a breakfast hall, and a tasting room. Likely dating back to the seventeenth century, the Villa is surrounded by a centuries-old 20,000-square-meter park and framed by the characteristic vineyards of the Friulian countryside. Meticulous care in the restoration—highlighting original elements such as exposed stone and brickwork, enhanced with skillful lighting—has brought new life and charm to this historic estate. Technological innovation is present in every room, yet discreetly integrated to preserve the rural and welcoming atmosphere of the agriturismo.

Le vicinanze

A pochi minuti dall’antica città romana di Aquileia, la città fortezza di Palmanova, le spiagge di Grado e l’aeroporto del Friuli Venezia Giulia.

In addition to the Villa Trovatore Park, the surrounding agricultural landscape has preserved its natural authenticity and strong connection to the land and its products. A clear example of this are the Rossato wines, known for their full-bodied character and distinctive organoleptic qualities, which attract customers from nearby Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia.
